Who is Eligible?

NJ E-ZPass accounts with accumulated unpaid tolls and fees collectively totaling $500 or more are eligible for a 25% discount if the outstanding balance is paid in full.

Program Rules

The Toll Violation Amnesty Program provides a last chance opportunity to reduce your toll, penalty and administrative fee obligations by 25 percent prior to the active implementation of the Toll Enforcement Program authorized by P.L. 2023, C. 339.  As a toll violator eligible for amnesty, you are encouraged to take advantage of the Amnesty Program to satisfy your financial obligations to New Jersey E-ZPass.  When the Amnesty Program ends on Friday, November 28, 2025, 11:59 P.M., all motor vehicle registrations of vehicles owned by toll violators who have not satisfied outstanding violations by that date will be subject to suspension by the New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission.

NJ E-ZPass Toll Violation Amnesty Program Ends November 28, 2025 at 11:59 P.M.

New Jersey Motor Vehicle Registration Suspension will begin on December 1, 2025 so don’t wait! Pay your unpaid tolls and violations today!

Remember: Every motor vehicle registration of the owner of a motor vehicle that has accumulated: unpaid tolls and fees collectively totaling $500 or more over the past three years; or six or more unpaid toll violations, with at least one violation having occured after January 16, 2024.
